PAYMENT PLAN OPTION

This is an interactive course that invites participants to do some deeply personal and reflexive work on the emotional and psychological aspects of the menopause transition. The in-person classes will be safe spaces to sit in circle, share, and hold space for one another. In each class, I will offer tools, guide participants through group exercises, and use herbs and aromatherapy to help us access the wisdom of the psyche. In between classes, I will invite participants to continue the work on their own and go deeper. There will be a private chat space to allow us to communicate between classes (not Facebook).

This course is heavily influenced by my mentor, Cathy Skipper, and her Alchemy of Menopause course, though it is not an exact recreation. My belief, based on Cathy's teachings, my lived experience, and witnessing many other women's journeys, is that menopause offers us an opportunity to do deep, transformational work as a rite of passage into empowered elderhood. Though this work can be done alone, it is often helpful, and more productive to work within a container held by a small group of women that offers a structure and tools designed to help navigate the experience. 

Who is this course for?

• Women who feel they are experiencing perimenopause and are having emotional and psychological symptoms.

• Women beyond menopause who feel this work would be beneficial (the work does not end with menopause).

• Women approaching perimenopause who want to be prepared with the tools and understanding of how to navigate this transition.

• Women who work with women around menopause and want a different understanding and toolbox for working with the psychological aspects of this time.

Location: Areté’s newly renovated barn studio in historic Unionville, PA (near Kennett Square — exact location will be given once registered for privacy reasons because this is a residential property)

Class Schedule: Class will meet once per month for 9 months at the same time and day for 3 hours.

$1,045 Payment plan option — 5 payments of $209/month, starting immediately upon registration. Your payment will come out on the same day each month as your original date of registration. This is the ticket page for this option.

About Your Instructor:

April Coburn is a clinical herbalist living and working in southern Chester County, Pennsylvania. She has studied foundational herbalism with Rosemary Gladstar and Susan Hess, and clinical herbalism with Ashley Litecky Elenbaas, Thomas Easley, and Mel Kasting. In addition, April has completed herbal hydrosol and alchemy of menopause courses with Cathy Skipper, and advanced medicine making with Lisa Ganora. April teaches foundational and advanced herbal medicine-making courses and formulates handcrafted herbal medicine for clients through her private apothecary.

April specializes in working with women to help them navigate the peri and post-menopause experience. She believes this natural transition can be an empowering and healthful experience when we enter into it consciously and with useful tools to help us along the way.
