Sustainability of Linen
Linen is made from the flax plant, growing of which requires fewer resources like water or pesticides compared to widely used cotton, making it a naturally sustainable process. Linen is fully biodegradable. Flax, the plant from which linen fabric is made, is also extremely versatile. Nothing from the plant is wasted.
What does OEKO-TEX certified mean?
Our linen is absent of harmful chemicals, safe, and eco-friendly
Working with Natural Fiber
We like to call linen a “living fabric” because it behaves in a very unique way. It is an unpredictable material, which also makes it uniquely beautiful. Each new batch of the “same” color might be slightly different. There also might be slight irregularities as the fiber is natural and a lot depends on the climate and how the plants were grown - whether they were exposed to more sun or more rain during the growing season and other natural reasons. We have come to appreciate the irregularities of linen that allow for more character than synthetic fabrics and colors. This is the natural beauty of linen and we embrace these subtle differences and irregularities.
